2011 Race Schedule

May 21-22 Mentor, OH - COMPLETED. June 4-5 Portage, IN - COMPLETED. July 9-10 Racine, WI - COMPLETED. July 23-24 Joliet, IL. Leisure Hours Raceway - COMPLETED.

August 13-14 Cincinnati, OH.COMPLETED. September 10-11 Toledo, OH.

The fifth race of the season was held at the freshly paved track of the Cincinnati club. With a limited time to get everything ready the club put in a ton of hard work and it all paid off for the racers who turned out. Traction was great and the track layout provided a tight technical challenge. Four qualifiers were run on Saturday and a fifth round were run Sunday morning. Mother Nature showed up once again about 20 minutes into the 200mm B-main. It was only a 5 minute rain shower but it was enough to wet the track and cause about an hour delay. During the delay there was a lot of conversation on how to run the rest of the schedule. With the current point system much debate was had to decide on a fair way to run both 200mm mains. The GT main was run to give the 200mm guys a little more time to decide and prepare. It was decided that the 200mm A-Main would run for 15 minutes and then the B-Main would re-run there race for the same 15 minute race length. The shortened races would help get everyone on the road at a decent time even after the rain delay.

All in all I think it was a great race weekend !!!! Thanks again to the Cincinnati club for all the hard work!!
